Hoya is known by many names: Wax Flower, Porcelain Flowers, Wax Plant. It is a popular houseplant grown for its glossy foliage and sweetly scented wax-like flowers. It is captivating, not only because of its fragrance and waxy appearance, but also because its flowers look like stars gathered in clusters that are also star-shaped.
The Hoya wayetii f. 'Variegata' is the variegated version of Hoya wayetii. It has long, narrower leaves than most Hoyas. The thick leaves are up to 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and are cream colored with green margins. The stems of Hoya wayetii f. 'Variegata' can be up to 3 feet (1 m) long, making it an excellent candidate for hanging baskets. The leaves take on a somewhat reddish coloring in brighter light.

Origin : Philippines
Watering : weak. Water only when the substrate is dry.
Light : intense, but indirect, 6 to 10 hours to have a nice bloom
Relative humidity : medium to high
Substrate : rich and draining, use our homemade potting soil for Hoyas
Fertilization : every 4 weeks during the growing period. A fertilizer rich in nitrogen will promote beautiful foliage, and you can switch to a fertilizer rich in phosphorus when your Hoya is about to bloom.
Flowering: pink flowers with a wine-red center in the shape of stars assembled in perfumed clusters
Toxicity: Hoyas are known to be non-toxic, but they contain a latex which could be irritating and have some toxicity
