Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Beautiful Desire' is a collector's hibiscus. It subtly displays all the shades of pink in its petals with slightly wavy edges. The center of the flower is plum and the further you go from there the brighter the pink becomes, until it becomes very pale pink. These superb flowers can reach 6 inches (15 cm).

Like all Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, it should be grown in full sun with plenty of water and fertilizer for maximum flowering.Hibiscus needs to be watered abundantly as soon as the soil is dry to the touch. It likes to have a high relative humidity, so it is necessary to think about increasing the humidity level with a humidifier in winter in our houses, where the air becomes dry because of the heating. In such situations, it is possible to observe the fall of the flower buds and to see the leaves turning yellow. We advise to take it outside in summer when the temperature is mild enough and to bring it inside at the latest at the end of August. Its large flowers will attract butterflies and pollinators. Hibiscus rosa-sinensis are rather fast growing, but hybrids like 'Beautiful Desire' grow a little slower. In their natural environment, they grow into fairly large shrubs. If they become bald or too big, they can be pruned. Keep in mind that since the flowers are at the end of the branches, pruning will delay flowering, but it will return.
