Hoya carnosa cv 'Krimson Princess' is known by many names: Wax Flower, Porcelain Flowers, Hoya 'Rubra'. It is a popular houseplant grown for its glossy foliage and sweetly scented wax-like flowers. It is captivating, not only because of its fragrance and waxy appearance, but also because its flowers look like stars gathered in clusters that are also star-shaped.

It is interesting to know that Hoya carnosa has been cultivated for more than 200 years and has given birth to many cultivars. The form Hoya carnosa cv. 'Krimson Princess', with highly varied leaves, is very attractive and highly appreciated. The leaves are thick and fleshy, rather oval in shape, and variegated with cream. A dark green border contrasts with this cream and gives a very bright side to this variety. The new leaves are pinkish. The plant tends to make long stems, pink, smooth, seeking to climb, before developing their foliage. These stems can easily be attached to a trellis.
