Syngonium 'Starlite', also known as Syngonium podophyllum 'Starlite', is an attractive variety of Syngonium that is distinguished by its variegated foliage. The leaves feature a captivating combination of pale green to creamy white, with lighter variegated areas that appear almost bright on thin, pointed, slightly twisted leaves.

Origin: Although Syngonium podophyllum is native to the tropical regions of Latin America, the 'Starlite' variety is the result of horticultural breeding to create houseplants with unique and decorative foliage.

Growth: 'Starlite' is moderately grown, forming a dense clump over time which may be guided onto a stand for vertical growth or left to fall back into a suspended arrangement. The arrow-shaped leaves are characteristic of the genus Syngonium, adding an interesting texture and shape to the entire plant.

Flowers: Syngonium 'Starlite' blooms are rare in indoor cultivation and are usually not the main attraction of this plant, which is grown for its spectacular foliage.

Light: This plant prefers medium indirect light but can adapt to lower light conditions. Intense direct light can burn the leaves, while insufficient light can reduce the liveliness of the variegation.

Watering: Watering should be regular, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings. Proper drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.

Substrate: A well-draining potting soil mix is recommended for Syngonium 'Starlite'. Using a tropical plant substrate, enriched with perlite or vermiculite, will promote the health of the plant.

Toxicity: As with other members of the Araceae family, 'Starlite' may contain calcium oxalate crystals which are irritating and potentially toxic if ingested. It is advisable to keep this plant out of reach of children and pets.
