Hot Sunset' banana pepper

Piment Banane Fort 'Hot Sunset' is a type of banana pepper, between 12 and 15 cm long. It ripens from yellow to orange, eventually turning red. It is quite strong in flavor, making it an ideal choice for marinades.

The plant reaches a height of around 60 cm and is quite productive. It produces an early, abundant crop of delicious, prickly fruit. The large, healthy, vigorous plants are not susceptible to disease and produce thick-walled, attractively colored fruit all season long.

The pepper is strong, turning from yellow to orange to red. The flesh is moderately thick. It is ideal for the preparation of pickled hot peppers. It reaches 500 on the Scoville scale. The plant is very productive, measuring 60 cm in height and ripening in 60 days.

It prefers full sun, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Indoor sowing can begin in early March. Transplanting should take place once the risk of frost has passed. Seeds should be sown to a depth of 6 mm, 30 cm apart.
