Nematodes are small, microscopic, beneficial worms. They need to be mixed with water to wake them up and sprayed on the lawn. Once in the soil, they will seek out a host, usually worms. The nematodes carry a pathogen that they inject into the host worms. This pathogen multiplies and kills the worms within a day or two. The nematodes then lay their eggs on the dead worms. The new nematodes will hatch and seek out other worms.

Covers 275 m2 (3,000 ft2)

  • In general, treat when larvae are present and actively feeding, from late April to mid-June, and again from early August to October (varies slightly depending on geographic location).
  • Apply the nematodes to the lawn when the soil temperature is between 10°C and 30°C (50°F and 86°F) and water the lawn thoroughly during the following days.
  • Apply to the ground in the early morning or evening to avoid heat and direct sunlight.
