In the garden Lovage: The lovage scares off insects, thanks to its strong celery smell. It is a very invasive plant that can grow up to 2 metres high; it is best to plant it in the corners or around the vegetable garden. Easy to maintain; accepts almost all soils except those too clayey, and prefers places with alternating sun and shade.

In the kitchen Use fresh or dried leaves in stews, soups, meats and sauces. Stems and young roots can be chopped and eaten as a side dish vegetable similar to braised celery. Also consumed as an infusion (herbal tea).

Virtues: Contains active constituents such as coumarin and terpenes. In infusion, lovage could help treat digestive disorders such as colic and flatulence, and infectious diseases of the urinary system.

Format: 11 cm pot
