Haworthia coarctata var. tenuis is a variety of Haworthia coarctata, a succulent plant native to southern Africa. It is appreciated for its thick and fleshy leaves arranged in compact rosettes.

Origin : Haworthia coarctata var. tenuis is native to the arid regions of southern Africa, especially South Africa.

Watering: Like other succulents, Haworthia coarctata var. tenuis prefers moderate watering. It is recommended to let the soil dry completely between waterings to avoid root rot. During winter, watering can be reduced.

Light: This plant prefers bright to medium light, but also tolerates low light conditions. Direct exposure to hot sun can cause leaf burns.

Substrate: A well-draining cactus or succulent-specific potting mix is recommended. Make sure the soil allows for effective drainage to avoid moisture build-up.

Flower color: Haworthia coarctata var. tenuis produces small white or greenish tubular flowers. However, the flowers are usually not very visible, as the plant is mainly grown for its foliage.

Minimum temperature: This succulent plant tolerates minimum temperatures of about 5°C to 10°C, but it prefers warmer temperatures, ideally between 18°C and 24°C.

Growth Rate: Haworthia coarctata var. tenuis is relatively slow growing. It forms dense rosettes of thick, triangular leaves that can reach a height of about 10 to 15 cm. The plant usually multiplies by producing new rosettes from stolons or lateral shoots.
