Episcia cupreata
Episcia cupreata is an exotic and fascinating houseplant, prized for its velvety foliage and bright colors that range from olive green to copper, often with silver or purple patterns. This plant, also known as the "flame flower" because of its bright red flowers, is ideal for adding a touch of color and texture to an interior space, whether in a hanging pot or on a shelf.
Origin: Native to the tropical regions of South America, mainly Brazil and Colombia, Episcia cupreata belongs to the Gesneriaceae family. It is grown for both its decorative foliage and its vibrant flowers.
Growth: Episcia cupreata is a fast-growing perennial, forming compact clumps that reach heights of around 15-30 cm. It grows well in pots, its creeping or drooping stems easily directed to form a dense, attractive plant.
Flowers: Episcia cupreata flowers are tubular, usually bright red, although they can sometimes be orange or yellow, depending on the variety. Flowering can occur all year round under the right conditions, with greater intensity in spring and summer.
Light: Episcia cupreata prefers bright but indirect light. It can tolerate lower light levels, but its colors will be more vibrant with the right lighting. Too much direct light can burn its delicate leaves.
Watering: Water regularly to keep the substrate slightly moist, but avoid over-watering, which can cause root rot. It's important to let the substrate dry slightly between waterings, especially in winter when growth slows. Ambient humidity is also appreciated by this plant.
Substrate: A light, well-draining substrate is ideal for Episcia cupreata. A mixture of houseplant potting soil with perlite or vermiculite to improve drainage is recommended.
Toxicity: Episcia cupreata is not toxic to pets or humans, making it a safe plant for homes with children or pets.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
