Epipremnum aureum 'Hawaiian', also known as Pothos 'Hawaiian', is an attractive variant of the classic Pothos, prized for its variegated leaves that feature rich gold or yellow mottling on a green background. This plant is a popular choice for houseplant enthusiasts thanks to its easy care and exotic appearance.

Origin: Although Epipremnum aureum is native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and the Solomon Islands, the cultivar 'Hawaiian' was specifically developed for its unique, vibrant foliage.

Growth: 'Hawaiian' is a climbing or drooping plant, perfect for growing in hanging baskets or on supports where it can spread out. It can grow to several meters in length under optimal growing conditions, with leaves that expand greatly when grown in an ideal environment.

Flowers: Like other types of Pothos, Epipremnum aureum 'Hawaiian' rarely produces flowers when grown indoors.

Light: This plant prefers bright indirect light but can tolerate low to medium light levels.

Watering: Watering should be moderate. It's important to let the substrate dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Reduce watering during winter when growth slows.

Substrate: Use a well-draining potting mix.

Toxicity: Epipremnum aureum 'Hawaiian' contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can be irritating if ingested. We recommend keeping this plant out of the reach of children and pets.
