Asparagus meyeri
Asparagus meyeri, also known as "fox tail", is an ornamental plant prized for its dense, feathery fronds that extend gracefully like a lush tail. This plant adds a touch of softness and texture to any interior, with its fine, elegant foliage contrasting beautifully with plants with broader or stiffer leaves.
Origin: Asparagus meyeri is native to South Africa. It is distinguished by its unique look and is often used for its decorative qualities, whether in hanging pots or as a table plant.
Growth: This moderate-growing perennial usually reaches 60-90 cm in height. Its slender, upright stems are covered with feathery fronds that give it a soft, voluminous appearance. Over time, it forms a dense, attractive clump.
Flowers: Asparagus meyeri flowers are discreet, small and white, usually appearing in late spring or summer. These flowers may be followed by small red berries if the plant is pollinated, although this is rare indoors.
Light: Asparagus meyeri prefers bright but indirect light. It can tolerate lower light levels, but its growth will be slower. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can damage the delicate fronds.
Watering: Water regularly to keep the substrate slightly moist. It's crucial not to let the soil dry out completely between waterings, while avoiding excess water to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering frequency.
Substrate: Use a well-draining substrate, such as universal potting soil mixed with perlite or vermiculite to improve drainage.
Toxicity: Asparagus meyeri is toxic to pets and humans. Ingestion can cause gastrointestinal irritation, and contact with the berries can cause skin irritation. It is therefore advisable to keep this plant out of the reach of children and pets.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
