Euphorbia pulvinata f. variegata is a variegated form of Euphorbia pulvinata, a succulent species belonging to the large Euphorbiaceae family. The "variegata" aspect of this plant adds visual interest and makes it particularly attractive for succulent collections.

Origin: Euphorbia pulvinata is native to the arid regions of South Africa, where it thrives in dry, sunny conditions. The variegated form has been selected for its variegated foliage characteristics and is grown mainly as an indoor or greenhouse plant in regions where outdoor conditions are not compatible with its needs.

Growth: This variety has moderate growth and forms clumps or cushions of fleshy leaves. It can spread slowly to form large groups, providing an attractive show in a pot or rock garden.

Flowers: Like other members of the Euphorbia genus, Euphorbia pulvinata f. variegata can produce inflorescences composed of small flowers surrounded by colorful bracts. These "flowers" are actually cyathes, structures specific to euphorbias.

Light: Prefers exposure to bright, indirect light. Can tolerate direct sun for part of the day, but protection from intense midday sun is recommended to avoid leaf burn.

Watering: As with many succulents, moderate watering is necessary. Allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and reduce watering in winter.

Substrate: Requires well-draining soil. A cactus and succulent mix with pumice and perlite is ideal.

Toxicity: Like other Euphorbias, Euphorbia pulvinata f. variegata contains a milky sap that can be irritating to the skin and toxic if ingested. Handle with care and keep out of reach of children and pets.
