Sansevieria 'Tough Lady': Sansevieria 'Tough Lady' is a variety of Sansevieria, also known as mother-in-law's tongue or snake's tongue, appreciated for its hardiness and decorative foliage. This variety is distinguished by its thick, leathery leaves, often marked with dark green transverse stripes and yellow or cream edges. Its compact growth and structured foliage make it an excellent choice for interior spaces.

Origin: Like other Sansevierias, it probably originated in Africa or Southeast Asia, although many varieties are grown for their specific ornamental qualities.
Growth: Sansevieria 'Tough Lady' is slow to moderate growing. It forms clumps of upright leaves that can reach several feet in height, depending on growing conditions.
Flowers: Sansevierias can produce flowers, but these are rare in indoor cultivation and generally less impressive than the foliage.
Light: Prefers bright indirect light, but is extremely tolerant of low-light conditions, making it ideal for less sunny spaces.
Watering: Requires limited watering. As with other succulents, allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
Substrate: A well-draining mix is essential. A cactus or succulent potting mix is suitable.
Temperature: Thrives in a range of normal indoor temperatures. Protect from frost and extreme temperatures.
Toxicity: Sansevieria 'Tough Lady' is toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
