Echeveria 'Amado' is a hybrid variety of Echeveria, appreciated for its beauty and elegance. This succulent plant is particularly remarkable for its dense, symmetrical rosette of fleshy leaves, which can display shades of green, blue-green or pink, often accentuated by colored edges or colored stresses in direct sunlight or during cold spells. Echeveria 'Amado', like other Echeverias, is often grown for its aesthetic appeal and ease of maintenance.

Origin: Echeverias are native to the semi-desert regions of Mexico and Central America. The 'Amado' hybrid has been specifically developed for its unique characteristics, combining the qualities of several related species or varieties.
Growth: Echeveria 'Amado' has a moderate growth habit and generally forms a single, compact rosette, but can produce offshoots around the mother plant over time. Its compact size makes it ideal for collections of succulents in pots or as a feature in rock gardens.
Flowers: It can produce upright flower stalks bearing bell-shaped flowers, usually pink, red or orange in color. Flowering tends to occur in spring or summer.
Light: Prefers bright but indirect light. Direct sunlight can be beneficial, especially for intensifying leaf colors, but it is important to protect the plant from scorching afternoon rays in very hot climates.
Watering: Requires moderate watering, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid stagnant water to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering.
Substrate: Well-draining soil is essential. A cactus and succulent mix of potting soil, coarse sand and perlite or gravel is ideal.
Temperature: Tolerates a range of temperatures, but must be protected from frost. Warm, dry conditions mimic its natural habitat.
