Origin: Native to South Africa, Conophytum pellucidum is adapted to semi-desert climates and grows in rocky and sandy areas.

Watering: Like most succulents, it prefers moderate, spaced watering. Allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot.

Brightness: It thrives in bright sunlight, benefiting from long hours of light every day.

Substrate: Use a well-drained cactus potting mix with good aeration to promote drainage.

Appearance: Conophytum pellucidum takes the form of small rosettes made up of two fleshy leaves that join to form a pair of gem-like pebbles. The plant can vary in color, from green to pink, depending on growing conditions.

Flower: During the flowering season, it produces small star-shaped flowers that emerge from the center of the rosettes. The flowers come in a variety of colors, including yellow and white.

Temperature: Tolerates hot summer temperatures, but appreciates winter cooling for its resting period.

Growth: Conophytum pellucidum is relatively slow-growing, but gradually forms dense colonies over time.

Toxicity: Not generally considered toxic.
