Nematanthus gregarius, commonly known as the "goldfish plant" because of its unique goldfish-shaped flowers, is an attractive, easy-to-care-for houseplant. Its glossy green leaves contrast beautifully with the bright orange flowers, adding a touch of color and exoticism to any space.

Origin: Native to the tropical forests of Brazil, it is accustomed to a humid environment and filtered light.

Growth: This plant is a moderate grower, reaching heights and widths of 30-60 cm. It has a creeping or pendulous growth habit, making it ideal for hanging baskets or high shelves.

Flowers: Its distinctive, goldfish-like flowers are usually bright orange and appear all year round in ideal conditions.

Light: Prefer medium indirect light. Too much direct light can discolor leaves, while insufficient light can reduce flowering.

Watering: Requires regular watering, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.

Substrate: A well-draining potting mix is ideal. A mixture of houseplant potting soil, perlite and peat moss can be used to maintain a good balance of moisture and drainage.

Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid temperatures below 10°C and cold draughts.

Toxicity : Non toxic
