Sansevieria francisii is an attractive, robust succulent in the Dracaenaceae family. Recognizable by its turret-like growth, with thick, pointed leaves that stack tightly on top of each other, this species is ideal for plant collectors looking for a less common variety of sansevieria.

Origin: Native to Kenya, Sansevieria francisii grows naturally in arid environments, making it extremely drought tolerant and adapted to dry indoor climates.

Growth: This sansevaria has a unique vertical growth habit, with leaves reaching up to 60 cm in length. The leaves are dark green with lighter stripes and sometimes a reddish or brownish edge.

Flowers: Like other Sansevieria species, S. francisii can produce flowers, although this is rare in indoor cultivation. Flowers are usually white or cream and appear on a vertical flower spike that emerges from the center of the plant.

Light: Sansevieria francisii adapts well to a range of lighting conditions, from low to moderate light to bright indirect light. However, too little light can slow growth and fade leaf color.

Watering: This plant requires minimal watering. Allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and water even less frequently over winter. Sansevieria francisii is very sensitive to excess water, which can cause root rot.

Substrate: Use a well-draining mix typical of succulents. A mixture containing pumice and perlite is ideal to ensure adequate drainage and prevent water stagnation.

Toxicity: Sansevieria francisii is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, due to the saponin it contains, which can cause nausea, vomiting and mouth irritation.

Sansevieria francisii is an excellent option for those looking to add a touch of exoticism and structure to their houseplant collection, thanks to its unique shape and ease of care. It is particularly suited to offices or homes where maintenance requirements are minimal but a plant presence is still desirable.

That's why we only work with reputable transport companies that offer affordable rates and allow you to track your package in real time to its final destination. When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly. 

You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.

Delivery price:

    The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.

    Preparation of orders:

    An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.

    Orders cancellation:

    Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.

    Combine your order with an existing one

    We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined. 

    Winter Expedition

    During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.

    Pickup in store:

    In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email. 

    Returns:

    All our plants are final sales. 

    However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
