Trinidad Moruga Scorpion is a very hot pepper that comes from Trinidad and Tobago. It is from the Capsicum Chinense family and earned the title of the strongest pepper before being dethroned in 2017. It has a stocky shape, bumpy, rough skin, and a floral, fruity aroma. Its Scoville unit is 1,200,000 SHU, which makes it very pungent and it should be used in small quantities with caution. It is strongly recommended to wear protective gloves when handling this pepper. It is now available in Quebec.
