Myrtillocactus geometrizans
Myrtillocactus geometrizans, often called bilberry cactus, is an impressive and attractive columnar cactus species, prized for its structured form and ornamental uses. This native Mexican cactus is characterized by its rapid growth and branches that often form a distinct geometric pattern, hence its name.
Origin: Native to the desert regions of Mexico, Myrtillocactus geometrizans is adapted to conditions of drought and full sun, where it can reach an imposing size, contributing to the desert ecosystem as a support for various forms of life.
Growth: This cactus can reach heights of 4 to 5 meters and branches out from the base, often forming multiple vertical branches. Its growth is relatively rapid for a cactus, making it a popular choice for cactus gardens or as a solitary specimen.
Flowers: Myrtillocactus geometrizans produces white or slightly greenish flowers, usually appearing in spring. The flowers, though small, are attractive and may be followed by edible fruit resembling blue-green berries, hence the common name blueberry cactus.
Light: This cactus requires full sun exposure for optimal growth and abundant flowering. It is perfect for locations that receive a lot of direct light throughout the day.
Watering: As with most cacti, Myrtillocactus geometrizans requires little watering. It is essential to let the soil dry out completely between waterings to avoid root rot. During the winter months, watering should be reduced considerably.
Substrate: Well-drained soil is crucial for this cactus. Use a cactus mix that allows good drainage.
Toxicity: Myrtillocactus geometrizans is considered non-toxic, but the spines can be a physical hazard. Handle with care to avoid injury from thorns.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
