Calathea lancifolia
Calathea lancifolia, also known as Calathea Rattlesnake, is a popular houseplant, renowned for its long, narrow foliage, adorned with dark green wavy patterns on a light green background. Its elegant, vibrant leaves make it an ideal choice for adding a tropical, decorative touch to any interior.
Origin: Calathea lancifolia is native to the tropical forests of Brazil, where it grows naturally in shady, humid environments.
Growth: This plant has a moderate growth habit, generally reaching 40-60 cm in height. Its long, tapering leaves are characterized by wave-like patterns, with a dark purple underside. This combination of colors and patterns makes it a visually attractive and unique plant.
Flowers: Calathea lancifolia occasionally produces small white or lilac flowers, but these are rarely seen in indoor cultivation. The main attraction of this plant is its distinctive foliage.
Light: This plant prefers bright but indirect light. It tolerates partial shade well, but its colors will be more vibrant under moderate to strong indirect light. It is important to avoid direct sunlight, which can burn delicate leaves.
Watering: Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Calathea lancifolia likes high ambient humidity, which you can maintain with a humidifier or by placing the plant on a tray of damp pebbles. During winter, reduce watering, but make sure the soil doesn't dry out completely.
Substrate: Use a light, well-draining potting mix of houseplant potting soil mixed with perlite or peat moss. Make sure the pot has good drainage to avoid water accumulation.
Toxicity: Calathea lancifolia is non-toxic to pets or humans, making it an excellent choice for homes with pets.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
