Browningia hertlingiana
Browningia hertlingiana is a fascinating columnar cactus native to the arid regions of South America, particularly Peru. This species is distinguished by its imposing vertical growth and its ability to produce unique blue-green foliage, as well as impressive spines. Over time, it can become a majestic specimen, offering a spectacular look in any cactus garden or succulent collection.
Origin: Browningia hertlingiana is specifically adapted to the arid climatic conditions of Peru, where it grows in mountainous and desert environments. This makes it highly resilient and adaptable to prolonged periods of drought.
Growth: This plant develops a unique columnar stem that can reach impressive heights in the wild. The stem is crowned with branches bearing blue-green leaves during periods of active growth, which is quite unusual for a cactus.
Flowers: Browningia hertlingiana produces white or slightly tinted flowers that open at night. These flowers, although less visible during the day, add extra appeal to the plant, especially when viewed in their natural environment.
Light: Like many cacti, Browningia hertlingiana prefers bright exposure and can tolerate full sun. However, in warmer climates or when young, protection from direct afternoon sun may be beneficial to avoid burns.

Toxicity: There are no specific reports concerning the toxicity of Browningia hertlingiana to humans or domestic animals. Nevertheless, its spines can be very prickly, so it is advisable to handle the plant with care.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
