Aralia 'Fabian
Aralia 'Fabian' is an elegant houseplant, known for its round, dark green leaves with deep purple undersides, bringing a touch of sophistication to any space. This plant is appreciated for its ability to adapt to a variety of interior environments, while adding interesting texture and subtle yet rich coloration to the decor.
Origin: Aralia 'Fabian' is a hybrid variety, often grown as a houseplant because of its tolerance of low-light conditions and relatively easy care. Although it does not originate from a specific region as a hybrid, Aralia in general are native to the tropical regions of Asia and South America.
Growth: Aralia 'Fabian' is a slow- to moderate-growing plant. It develops a woody trunk that gives the plant a shrubby appearance, sometimes reminiscent of a small indoor tree. Indoors, it can reach heights of 60 to 120 cm, depending on growing conditions. Its rounded leaves, with dark green tops and purple undersides, add a unique, colorful dimension to the plant.
Flowers: Indoors, Aralia 'Fabian' rarely flowers. Flowers, when they do appear, are small and insignificant, usually white or cream in color. However, this plant is mainly grown for its attractive foliage rather than for its flowering.
Light: This plant tolerates low to moderate light, making it ideal for shady interiors. However, it prefers bright, indirect light for optimum growth. Exposure to intense direct light should be avoided, as it can burn the leaves.
Watering: Aralia 'Fabian' likes slightly moist soil, but it's important to let the substrate dry out slightly between waterings to avoid excess moisture, which can lead to root rot. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows down, but be sure to maintain adequate ambient humidity.
Substrate: Use a well-draining potting soil rich in organic matter. A standard houseplant mix with added perlite to improve drainage is ideal. This plant appreciates slightly acidic to neutral soil.
Toxicity: Aralia 'Fabian' is considered mildly toxic to pets if ingested. It may cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea. It is therefore best to keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
