Anthurium andreanum mauve
Purple Anthurium andreanum is an elegant houseplant, renowned for its spectacular inflorescences in unique purple hues. Its mauve spathes contrast beautifully with yellow or white spadices, creating a striking focal point in any room.
Origin: Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, Anthurium andreanum grows in the damp, shady undergrowth of these regions.
Growth: Anthurium andreanum grows moderately. Indoors, it can reach heights of 50-70 cm. Foliage develops gradually, forming a dense rosette of cordate leaves. Flowers appear regularly throughout the year, especially if the plant benefits from adequate light conditions.
Flowers: Anthurium andreanum inflorescences consist of a colorful spathe, in this case a delicate mauve, surrounding a cylindrical spadix. The flowers can last for several weeks, bringing a lasting touch of color to your home.
Light: Anthurium andreanum prefers bright indirect light. It tolerates medium light well, but to encourage abundant flowering, it is advisable to provide it with filtered but intense light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
Watering: Keep the substrate constantly moist, but never soggy. In winter, reduce watering slightly to prevent the soil from drying out completely. Anthurium also appreciates high ambient humidity, so spray the leaves regularly or use a humidifier.
Substrate: A light, well-draining potting mix is ideal for Anthurium andreanum. Use a houseplant potting soil enriched with organic matter, or a mixture of potting soil, perlite and pine bark to ensure good root aeration.
Toxicity: Purple Anthurium andreanum is toxic to pets and humans if swallowed. We therefore recommend keeping it out of the reach of children and pets.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
