Alocasia watsoniana
Alocasia watsoniana is an impressive houseplant, renowned for its imposing, lush foliage. Its large, dark-green, heart-shaped leaves are slightly undulating at the edges, with prominent veins that add relief and character to the plant. This Alocasia, with its elegant, tropical allure, is perfect for creating a strong visual impact in a spacious interior.
Origin: Alocasia watsoniana is native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, where it thrives in conditions of high heat and humidity.
Growth: This plant can reach a considerable height, often between 1 and 2 meters indoors. It grows rapidly in optimal conditions of light, warmth and humidity. It produces large leaves all year round, particularly in well-lit environments.
Flowers: Alocasia watsoniana flowers are discreet, appearing as white or greenish spathes. However, the plant is mainly cultivated for the beauty of its foliage, not for its flowering.
Light: It prefers bright but indirect light. Direct lighting can damage the leaves, while insufficient light can slow growth and make the leaves less vibrant. A location with filtered light is ideal for this plant.
Watering: Water regularly to keep the substrate slightly moist, but make sure the water doesn't stagnate in the pot. Allow the soil surface to dry between waterings to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering frequency as the plant enters a period of relative rest.
Substrate: Use a well-draining potting soil suitable for tropical plants. A mix rich in organic matter is recommended to retain moisture while ensuring good drainage. Good drainage is essential to avoid root problems caused by excess water.
Toxicity: Like other Alocasias, Alocasia watsoniana is toxic to animals and humans if ingested. The sap can also cause skin irritation, so handle the plant with care.

When the order leaves our greenhouses, the carrier takes over your order. We are not responsible for the risks involved in transport. Please contact the transport company directly.
You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
