In the garden Oregano: Oregano has a beneficial effect on all plants, increasing their flavour. Although considered a perennial, it does not tolerate cold temperatures: it is best to bring the plants into the house before the fall frost.

Nevertheless, oregano is an easy plant to grow and grows better if neglected than if pampered! However, it must be pruned regularly to encourage the growth of side branches or remove two-thirds of the plant when it begins to flower. New stems will appear and allow for a second harvest in the fall.

In the kitchen Oregano: Oregano is used to season meat and fish dishes, sauces, pasta or rice, soups and soups. It is perfect for flavoring pizza and spaghetti and goes well with salads and cheeses such as feta, bocconcini and mozzarella.
