Echeveria decora f. Variegata is a variegated form of Echeveria decora, a succulent plant prized for its symmetrical rosette and fleshy leaves. The variegata variety is distinguished by its attractive foliage, which features stripes or margins of contrasting colors, typically a combination of green, creamy white, and sometimes pink or red, depending on light exposure and other environmental factors. This variegation adds further visual interest to the plant, making each specimen unique.

Origin: Echeverias are native to the semi-desert regions of Mexico, Central America and northern South America. Variegata forms, such as Echeveria decora f. Variegata, are often the result of specific genetic mutations and are highly prized in horticulture for their beauty.
Growth: Echeveria decora f. Variegata grows relatively slowly, forming compact rosettes that can reach several centimetres in diameter. Over time, the plant can produce offshoots or "babies" at the base of the main rosette, allowing easy propagation.
Flowers: Like other Echeverias, this variety can produce upright flowering stems bearing bell-shaped flowers, often pink or red in color. Flowering usually occurs in spring or summer.
Light: Prefers bright but indirect light. Direct sunlight can be tolerated for part of the day, but it is important to protect the plant from intense sunlight to avoid burns.
Watering: Requires moderate watering. Allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter.
Substrate: Well-draining soil is crucial. Use a cactus and succulent mix of potting soil, coarse sand and perlite or gravel.
Temperature: Tolerates a range of temperatures, but must be protected from frost. Warm, dry conditions are ideal.
