Sansevieria pinguicula, also known as Walking Sansevieria, is a distinctive succulent species within the Sansevieria genus. It is distinguished by its thick, dark-green, erect and slightly curved leaves, which end in a sharp point. A unique feature of this plant is its ability to develop "stolons" or aerial rhizomes, which enable it to "walk" by spreading over the ground and forming new plants at a distance from the mother plant.

Origin: Sansevieria pinguicula is native to the arid regions of East Africa, where it thrives in dry, rocky conditions.
Growth: This plant is slow-growing and generally forms compact groups of leaves. Over time, it can propagate through its runners, giving the impression that the plant is "walking" through the soil.
Flowers: Although flowering is rare in indoor cultivation, Sansevieria pinguicula can produce upright inflorescences bearing small white or cream flowers. Flowers are often fragrant, appearing mainly at night.
Light: Prefers bright but indirect light. Can tolerate lower light levels, but insufficient light can lead to leaf wilting.
Watering: As with other Sansevierias, moderate watering is necessary. Allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot.
Substrate: Well-draining soil is essential. Use a succulent mix.
Toxicity: Sansevieria pinguicula, like other members of the Sansevieria family, may contain saponins, which are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. It should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
