Echinofossulocactus coptonogonus
Echinofossulocactus coptonogonus, now more commonly classified under the genus Stenocactus, is a cactus species notable for its unique shape and wavy or strongly pleated ribs. Native to Mexico, this plant is appreciated for its decorative appearance and attractive flowers.
Origin: Native to the desert regions of Mexico, Stenocactus coptonogonus is adapted to life in arid environments where it can survive with little water. Its ability to store water in its fleshy body enables it to withstand prolonged periods of drought.
Growth: This cactus develops a globular to slightly elongated structure, with very distinctive ribs that can be wavy or intricately pleated. The amount and depth of rippling on the ribs varies from specimen to specimen, making each plant unique.
Flowers: Stenocactus coptonogonus produces beautiful flowers, usually white, pink or purple, which appear at the top of the plant in spring. The flowers contrast nicely with the green body of the cactus, adding further aesthetic appeal.
Light: Prefers a bright exposure with a certain amount of direct sunlight. Adequate sunlight is essential to encourage healthy growth and flowering, as well as maintaining the plant's compact form.
Watering: As with many cacti, watering should be moderate during the growing season, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings. During the winter dormancy period, watering should be reduced to simulate the drier natural conditions of its habitat.
Substrate: A well-draining mix is crucial to plant health. Using a cactus-specific substrate, enriched with perlite and pumice, is recommended to ensure good drainage and prevent root rot.
Toxicity: Stenocactus coptonogonus is not known to be toxic to humans or pets. However, like all cacti, it is advisable to handle the plant with care to avoid injury from thorns.

You must be present when your package is delivered, as we require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to send us an email prior to delivery to advise us of your absence. If you prefer delivery without a signature, please let us know when you place your order. However, you are solely responsible for any theft or damage due to bad weather.
Delivery price:
The prices are established according to the exact weight of the package, and not according to a pre-established charter. You can therefore be sure to pay the exact price of your order. We do business with several delivery companies, which allows us to offer you the best price and the fastest and most efficient carrier.
Preparation of orders:
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you following the confirmation of your purchase. We ship everywhere in Canada only from Monday to Wednesday in order to avoid that our parcels stay at the post office on weekends. Local delivery is available from Monday to Saturday for the greater metropolitan area. You will receive your tracking number as soon as your order is processed and shipped, along with the expected delivery date. This number will allow you to know the status of your order in real time until its final destination. Please check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation email. We do not give any delivery time due to the large quantity of orders to prepare.
Orders cancellation:
Do you want to cancel an order you have placed? We can only issue a refund if the order has not yet been prepared and/or shipped.
Combine your order with an existing one
We offer you the possibility to combine your purchases made on our online shop only if your order is not in preparation. Only orders to be shipped to the same address and name can be combined.
Winter Expedition
During the winter months, insulation packaging + heating package are included in the transport costs. In case of extreme cold, we reserve the right to suspend deliveries until suitable temperatures return.
Pickup in store:
In order to provide you with quality plants, we ask that you pick up your confirmed orders, ready for shop pick-up, within 4 days of your confirmation email.
Returns:
All our plants are final sales.
However, if you have received an order that is damaged, incorrect or has a phytosanitary problem, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@serreslavoie.com. Please Include a photo of the product, its packaging and your order number. We will evaluate the situation and let you know afterwards if we proceed with the replacement of the product or a credit note.
