With its lush foliage and delicate flowers, Anthurium podophyllum is a very attractive houseplant that will bring an exotic touch to your space.
Origin: Anthurium podophyllum is a plant of tropical origin, mainly found in humid and shady regions of Central and South America.
Watering: This tropical plant appreciates regular watering. It is recommended to keep the substrate constantly wet, but not soggy, to avoid root rot. A good practice is to water the plant when the surface of the soil starts to dry.
Light: Anthurium podophyllum prefers bright indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause leaf burn, so it is best to place the plant near a well-lit window, but without direct sunlight.
Substrate: This type of Anthurium prefers a well-draining, slightly acidic substrate rich in organic matter. A mixture of potting soil, compost and perlite works well for this plant.
Flower color: Anthurium podophyllum produces very inconspicuous, pale white-green flowers that are distinguished by their long, thin spadix.
Minimum temperature: This tropical plant prefers warm temperatures, generally between 18°C and 28°C. It can tolerate a minimum temperature of about 15°C, but it is preferable to keep it away from any frost.
Growth Rate: With proper growing conditions, Anthurium podophyllum is a moderate to fast growing plant. Its growth can be stimulated by regular feeding during the growing season.
