Anthurium

Most anthuriums come from the rainforests of South America. These plants grow on plant debris that accumulates in crevices, on tree stumps or in cracks that form in the bark of trees.

The lanceolate leaves of Anthurium flower at the end of a long petiole. The inflorescences consist of a long, more or less twisted spikelet (spadix) and a shiny red bract (spathe). They appear mainly in summer but flowering can last all year round.

Simple to maintain, these plants offer a variety of specimens for all tastes.
