One of the earliest cucumbers on the market, 'Early Russian' is particularly popular for making pickles. The dark green fruits are very uniform and measure between 7 and 10 cm in length with a diameter of about 3.5 cm. The taste is mild and sweet, but never bitter. Very hardy, its production is spread over a long period from the beginning of the season until the autumn frost.
