Philodendron 'Birkin' has a shrubby, fairly compact habit and dark green leaves with light yellow or cream variegation. Each leaf will be different from the last. A hybrid from a mutation of Philodendron 'Rojo Congo', it is not found in the wild. It is a little smaller in size than other philodendrons and is rather slow growing. Philodendron 'Birkin' is more tolerant of dry air than other philodendrons and adapts to a variety of lighting conditions. It will, however, need bright indirect light to maintain its beautiful variegation.
