Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' is a bright, attractive variety of Epipremnum aureum, commonly known as pothos. This variant is distinguished by its brilliant neon-green leaves, earning it the name 'Neon'. Like other pothos, it's an easy-to-grow climber or dropper, making it a popular choice for gardeners of all experience levels. It is particularly appreciated for its ability to purify indoor air and its tolerance of diverse light conditions.

Origin: Epipremnum aureum is native to the Solomon Islands and other tropical regions of Southeast Asia. The 'Neon' variety, with its unique leaf color, has been specifically cultivated for its ornamental qualities.
Growth: 'Neon' is fast-growing and can spread or climb several meters if supported by a stake or given sufficient space to droop. Its stems develop aerial roots that enable it to cling to and climb adjacent supports.
Flowers: Like other members of the Araceae family, Epipremnum aureum can theoretically produce flowers in the form of a spadix surrounded by a spathe, but this is extremely rare in indoor cultivation.
Light: 'Neon' pothos prefers bright indirect light but can tolerate low to moderate light levels. Insufficient light may result in a loss of the vivid neon green color of its leaves.
Watering: Requires moderate watering. Allow the substrate to dry out partially between waterings to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter when growth is slower.
Substrate: Well-draining soil is essential. A mixture of houseplant potting soil with perlite or vermiculite is often recommended.
Temperature: Prefers moderate to warm temperatures and high humidity. Protect the plant from cold draughts and temperatures below 10°C.
Toxicity: Toxic plant.
