Ceropegia woodii 'Silver Glory' is also called the 'String of Hearts'. It produces silver, heart-shaped leaves with a darker edge and a purple underside. Its long, slender, hyper-delicate stems that are a bit purple fall like a curtain, making it an ideal plant to hang or place on a high shelf. Rather fast-growing, it can easily reach 3 feet (90 cm), so space is a must. In their natural environment, Ceropegia woodii climb up the bushes to reach the light, which provides shade and moisture at their base while their aerial part is in the light.

An interesting fact about Ceropegia woodii is that they have roots that swell to create tubers under the soil. These tubers store a lot of water, as do their semi-succulent leaves, which is why they are often classified as succulents, not requiring much water to live and grow. Bead-like pods will appear after flowering on the stem. They can be used to propagate new plants.
