Peperomia 'Ruby Cascade' is grown as a hanging basket plant, but in its natural habitat it often climbs up tree trunks or rocks, rooting itself as it goes. Growing in tropical forests, however, this peperomia has fairly fleshy leaves that give it good water-holding capacity, much like a succulent plant. The most striking characteristics of 'Ruby Cascade' are the perfectly round shape and the two-colored aspect of its foliage. Indeed, the upper surface of the leaf is a deep, glossy dark green, while the underside is a rich ruby color. The stems can grow to several feet in length.
