Stapelia

Stapelia is a genus of low-stemmed, spineless succulent, mainly native to South Africa and some other parts of Africa. There are about 90 different species of this genus, all characterized by these large, hairy, star-shaped flowers.

Beware of sensitive hearts, some species produce flowers that can give off a rotten flesh smell in order to attract its pollinators.
