How does it work?

Magnifiers are used to focus light to produce a magnified image of an object. Many pests, and the biocontrol agents used to control them, are extremely small and cannot be observed in detail except with the aid of magnification.

How can I use it?

• Take a leaf (or any other part of the plant you want to examine) in your hand and locate a place to look at it more closely.
• Hold the magnifying lens in front of the eye.
• Bring your face and the magnifying glass closer to the viewing area.
• Adjust the distance as necessary to bring the area into focus.
