Lithops

Lithops, also known as pebble plants, belong to the Aizoaceae family. There are more than 100 species of perennial, succulent and stemless plants in this family. These plants are native to the semi-desert regions of South Africa and Namibia. The body of the Lithops represents a water reserve, which means this type of plant requires limited watering.

While their color is often dull - sometimes varying from gray to green, sometimes from yellow to red, their flowering is made up of very short peduncles, generally yellow or white and a yellow heart. One of the peculiarities of Lithops is that the flowering emerges in the afternoon and closes in the evening, offering an undeniable spectacle.
